Donald C. Schreffler,
Sr.
Donald C. Schreffler, Sr., 77,
of Mountain Lake, Liberty Twp., N.J., died Saturday, October
22, 2005 in his home.
He was an administrative clerk
for the Pennsylvania Railroad, The Penn Central Railroad and
Conrail in the Phillipsburg, NJ and Morrisville, Pa. offices
for 34 years, retiring in 1990.
Born August 24, 1928 in Pottsville,
Pa., he was a son of the late William C. and Dorothy Heebner
Schreffler.
After graduating Sunbury, Pa.
High School in 1947, Donald joined the Army where he was a private
first class.
He was an avid bowler at Bel-Pike
Lanes, Oakwood Lanes and Warren Lanes. He was on the "Phillipsburg
Merchant's" team for 22 years at Warren Lanes.
He and his wife, the former
Alice R. Pauls, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on
August 4th.
In addition to his wife, he
is survived by four sons, Gerald T. of Mercerville, NJ, Donald
C., Jr. and his wife Maria of Bethlehem, Pa, James E. of Easton
and Thomas S. and his wife Wanda of Allentown; a daughter, Frances
A. Rank and her husband David of Northampton, Pa; 13 grandchildren
and a great-granddaughter. A brother William J. died in 1993.
Services were held privately
at the convenience of the family. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home,
289 South Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements.
