Anthony J. "Tony" Stefano, 68, of Lopatcong Township, N.J., died Thursday, May 11, 1995 in his home He was an iron worker for the International Association of Bridge Structural and Ornamental Iron Worker's Union, Local 36, Bethlehem, for 32 years, retiring in 1984. Upon his retirement he worked for Sentinel Security Service at the Foster-Wheeler Corp., Perryville, NJ. Born July 30, 1926 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Michael and Nancy (Attinello) Stefano. He attended the First Lutheran Church, Stewartsville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served with the Seabees in Guam. He was awarded the American Theatre Medal, the World War Twp Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal. He was a member of the Mecsey-Bishop American Legion Post #456, Stewartsville, NJ. Mr. Stefano and his wife, the former Anna Lou Pierson observed Their 46th wedding anniversary last December. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Karen A. Shaw of Towanda, PA, Nancy J. Heater of Lopatcong Township, Lori S. Graffin of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Toni A. Haring of Easton; brothers, Michael of Phillipsburg and John T. of Pohatcong Township; sisters, Mary A. Stasak of Harmony Township and Natalie R. Piazza of Phillipsburg and seven grandchildren. Three brothers, Joseph, Paul and Salvatore all died earlier. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Phillipsburg. Interment will be in the Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery. Call 9:00 a.m. until time of services Monday in the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions to the First Lutheran Church, N.
