June Marie Taylor, 56, of Easton, died Wednesday, October 16, 1996 in her home after a lengthy illness.

She was a nurses aide for 17 years for the former Garden Nursing Home and the Care Center of Phillipsburg, where she last worked in 1988.

Born March 15, 1940 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John H. And Elizabeth C. Fields Thornton.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She and her husband, Cleo, observed their 26th wedding anniversary September 19.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Taylor-Martin; one grandson, Edward "EJ" D. Martin, Jr and one sister, Ruby Izak of Phillipsburg. Four brothers, Leroy, William H., Clarence S. And John H. and a sister, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick all died earlier.

Graveside services and burial will be held 11:00 AM Friday in the Phillipsburg Cemetery, Fillmore St., Phillipsburg. There are no calling hours.
