Pearl Thornton, 64, of Phillipsburg, died Sunday, October 20, 1996 in Warren Hospital. She was last employed as a domestic worker for various employers in the Phillipsburg-Easton Area. Born July 17, 1932 in Washington, Pa, she was a daughter of late Robert and Elizabeth Harris Williams. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Phillipsburg. Her husband, Clarence S. "Bubba" Thornton died in 1974. Survivors include a son, Richard of Phillipsburg; a daughter, Nettie Furman of Phillipsburg; a brother, Love Williams of Phillipsburg; five sisters, Laura Flowers of Phillipsburg, Geraldine Lillard and Lucielle Brown, both of Washington, Pa and Elizabeth Thornton and Armelia Gibson Williams, both of Easton, Pa; Eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. One sister, Gertrude Williams and two brothers, Charles Watkins and Reavy Williams all died earlier. Services will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Grace Baptist Church, 330 South Main St, Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held Thursday in the Church from 6:30 p.m. until time of services. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
