Dear Toot,

I am proud to have received the New Jersey Distinguished Medal of Honor on your behalf. Congratulations. You and all the other Veterans really earned this recognition.

You were my first and only love, which still grows through our sons. Memories of our life together are with me today, tomorrow and forever and a day. Yes, you are missed and loved dearly and you are with me in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I know that one day, my prayers will be answered.

When you embraced me and said "I love you, please don't leave me", has kept me going. You are still my life now and forever.
