Alan taught me to love life. When I was down he would have me look on the bright side. He taught me that some things were wrong even if everyone else was doing it. He was like an uncle, a really great uncle. He would play baseball with my sister and I and always treated us as equals even though we were 20 years younger than him. He would sing and dance with us when a good song came on. He was full of life and had a loving spirit. I will miss him a lot.

Dear Jody and family,

So sorry to read of Al's passing. My prayers are with you all. Like a song that lives in memory, like a joy that will not die, a loved one lives forever even when a heart must cry.

With loving memories,

Dear Jody and family. Alan was an exceptional man who consistently set the highest standards for himself. Whether it was mentoring his employees at Citizens, coaching young athletes or cutting a crash victim out of a wreck at 2 a.m., he freely gave of himself. He will be sorely missed by many. May God's peace be with you and your sons.

Your father and husband will always be remembered for his kindness and compassion. Your family was a gift to me growing up. I have fond memories of Al playing softball with my dad. His spirit was bright and his kindness was infectious. I keep all of you in my prayers and thoughts. God Be with you and bless you.

My Deepest Sympathy,

I am deeply saddened to learn of Alan's passing at too early an age.

I have fond memories of playing baseball as his teammate on the Hampton As in the Hampton Recreation League. That was probably back in the early 60s. He was the team leader as the shortstop while I played beside him as the second or third baseman.

My condolences to his family especially to his brother David who was my classmate in Hampton Public and North Hunterdon High Schools.

I only knew Al through having my taxes done, but from what I knew of him in those brief meetings, he was a very nice gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor. My sympathies go out to all his family and friends.

Jody, Dave, Dan and Alex,

I am very sorry for your loss. Your husband and father was a good man... honest and caring. I found him to be nothing but a gentleman. He will be missed but I am sure you know that he is now much happier than he was being jailed by that horrific disease. God bless all of you and I am sure I will bump into all of you shortly.

My sincere regrets,

We just heard the news and find ourselves both sad and smiling. We are sad due to the loss of a good husband, father and friend but smiling due to some of the great memories that Alan has left us with as well as the positive impact Alan had on hundreds of Children throughout Hunterdon County. God bless, our prayers are with you.
