I served with Chuck aboard the USS 1st 1012 at the invasion of France in 1944. Later he and I enjoyed an exchange regarding our sport "beisbol". I am a Pirates fan and he was a Mets fan. I enjoyed the exchanges.

I send my condoences as a former shipmate and friend.

My condolences to the Bevington family. Charles's grandparents (Milo & Nancy) were also my great-grandparents. According to my calculations that would make us first cousins, once removed. I'm sorry to say that I never had the chance to meet Charles. I have corresponded with Charles III and traded some genealogical information. I would welcome any correspondence from any of Charles's relatives.

Sincerely,
Mark Douglas Bevington
