Dear Mrs. Bobinis;

My condolences on the loss of your husband. I am one of the hundreds of kids he coached for Steele Hill baseball. I can sill picture him standing on the first base line wearing his Comet tee shirt and black ball hat, yelling encouraging words to your son John as he pitched. I also had the opportunity to play for him when he coached the junior
and senior league Steele Hill baseball teams. Only years later did I begin to appreciate the time and energy he committed to little league coaching. Although I never got to thank him, I did want to thank you for supporting his efforts and for the wonderful picnics you had for the team at Walters Park after the season. Because of men like your husband hundreds of young kids, now grown adults, are better people.

During the 32 years I coached in the Phillipsburg Junior Baseball League there were only a couple of others who were around for all those years. John was one of them. In addition to coaching the Midgets for so long, he also coached briefly and then umpired in our League when his season was over. Few men gave more time and effort to the youth of the community than John. Most people start coaching by coaching their own children only. It takes a special person to continue coaching and to coach for years, even decades after his children no longer play. He was a "legend" among local coaches of my era. His spirit will be greatly missed. It is my hope that the memory of his dedication will spur others from the Steele Hill and Firthtown Organizations to the same unselfish commitment to the kids of the Phillipsburg area. His was a life of dedication to children that should never be forgotten. God bless you John.

Mrs. Bobinis & Family,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Bo. Our families were close as us kids were growing up. I remember all the fun picnics and parties at your house in the back yard. As always we all grow up and we all go our separate ways, but we never forget each other. Mr. Bo will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is in a wonderful peaceful place now and I'm sure mom welcomed him with open arms. Our hearts and prayers are with you all at this time of sadness

Love,

Mrs. Bo and Family

Our warmest sympathies to you and your family from ours. Like the many other folks in your life, your family touched my life in the way of friendship through gatherings in your yard in the summertime. We had many laughs while hanging out in your yard, swimming, picnicing and developing memories to last a lifetime with Uncle Walt, Aunt Helen & family, along with Mr & Mrs Bullock's family too. I know the good times with Mr Bo and all those who have touched your heart will help you through this difficult time.
