Dear Uncle Ames,

I know you are with God right now, because your faith remained central in your life. You were a powerful prayer, and I'll never forget the blessing you gave at my parent's 50th Anniversary, as you stood once again as their Best Man. My memory of you is so fond, as the Uncle who gave great hugs. We never seemed to get enough hugs, but when you were around, you gave the best hugs of all. We all knew you loved us. I hope you knew how much we loved you as well. I hope you'll watch over Helen, your children and grandchildren, as an Angel from Heaven. Some day we'll meet again!
