To my loving Pop-Pop:

As we say goodbye to you on this earth your presence will be sadly missed but the love that you have shown all of us over the years will be in our hearts forever. Your smile will be in my heart. One of the fondest memories that I have of you is when you and I danced at my wedding. Another memory that I have is when you used to tell us that there was something in our ear and you would reach up and touch our ear and you would make a quarter appear out of no where. Pop-pop you will always be in our thoughts and prayers we love you always.

Love,

DAD,

I don't know of any words that can adequately express my feelings at this time. I know I'm going to miss your physical presence. I'm sad that we can't exchange anymore silly jokes or favorite recipes. I won't be able to say Dad and have you answer. But I'm glad that you are in a better place now. Away from worry and pain. I hope the Lord is comforting you as we are trying to comfort each other. I hope that you are enjoying the grandest buffet and playing penny-ante with the Angels. It's going to be very hard for Mom, but she is a lot stronger than we ever imagined she could be. I am certain she "will love you forever". We will do our best to see that she wants for nothing. I know I've told you " I love you" but I'm not sure I've ever said "thank you". Thank you for giving me life. Thank you for making sacrifices to send us to Catholic school. Thank you for giving us a strong work ethic. Thank you for teaching us not to be afraid of challenges. Thank you for teaching us to enjoy God's beautiful world. Thank you for teaching us to respect ourselves and others. Thank you for encouraging us to stand up for what we believe in. Thank you for allowing us to make mistakes and to learn from them. Thank you for being firm when necessary and forgiving when when thought we had pushed your final button. Thank you for teaching us to love God and our country. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for sports...even if the Dodgers didn't always win---you remained loyal. Thank you for teaching us that if a task is worth doing it's worth doing right. Thank you for teaching us it's okay not to be perfect but we should at least aim for that goal. Thank you for sharing your wonderful wit and sense of humor. THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU! I'm sorry for anytime I caused you pain (when I bit you in the belly as a baby) or embarrassment (PTA Meetings). I'm sorry that I sometimes gave Mom a really hard time. I'm sorry I ALWAYS had to go to the bathroom when it was time to do the dishes ( it really had something to do with the running water). I'm sorry you caught me sticking out my tongue at you after you scolded me. I'm really sorry if I ever disappointed you or Mom.

The Angels have you now...rest in peace.

To Our Dear Pop-Pop,

God may have called you home, but you'll forever be in our hearts. The love and good times you have shared with us over the years will never be forgotten. We will always cherish the jokes and tricks you shared with us. Thank you for all the good times and laughter you have brought to the family. You will be sadly missed. We know that you will always watch out for us and be our special Guardian Angel.
