Mary, so sorry to read of Emil's passing. You were both good friends to my mother, Melba Geehr, who's been gone for 5 years already. I have one of Emil's paintings hanging in my office. The NY SKYLINE If you ever would like a picture of it just let me know.

It is always difficult to say or write something when losing a good friend. I think I just want to tell anyone who reads this: count yourself fortunate if you know someone with whom you can feel very relaxed, who accepts you totally for who you are, shares some of your passions, and brings you laughter, happiness, and some very stimulating conversation. If you don't know such a person I hope you can encounter someone like that in your life, even for a short period of time. I was that lucky.

As a friend of their daughter Carmenlina, Emil & his wife Mary opened their hearts and their home to me. I'll never forget their kindness. To those who mourn his loss - please know you have the support and caring of so many who keep you close in thought and wish you comfort and peace.

Dear Mary and Family,

I was so sad to hear of the death of Emil. Though I did not know either of you that well, I always admired both of you for your obvious friendliness and talents. I will surely miss seeing Emil's smiling face and his wonderful creations. Please except my most heartfelt sympathy for your great loss.

We were both deeply saddened to here of Emil's passing. We felt for the both of you. It's something we all have to regretbly face one day and it's always there deep in the recesses of our minds. We've known each other for many many years and we haven't any unpleasant thoughts of either of you. Always warm and loving. You are in our prayers and thoughts daily. We pray that you remain strong as you have always been and that you find comfort in knowing Emil is at peace and is always with you. We'll see you soon.
