I remember Mr. Bullock as a kind, funny, easy going man. Our families spent some good times together. Mostly at their house playing, swimming and driving those old mail trucks around. My sympathy goes out to the Bullock family. I'm sorry I can't be there to pay my respects in person, but my heart and thoughts are there with you all. We all seem to be loosing our loved ones and it sure does hurt, but we all must remember that they are all together again and watching down over us!! Mr. Bullock will be missed by all the family and friends he touched.

To Bernie, Billy, Michael, Barb,
Mary, and Bev.
This is a time when we need to remember the togetherness our families
shared. Your house with your Mom and Dad was always special to
me and whenever we visited it was sad to have to go home. Going
joy riding was such fun. I loved sittin on the bottom step in
the kitchen and listen to the adults play Yatzee. And lets not
forget the chocolate cakes and ice cream binges. Swimming, hide
& seek, and picnics. Your Mom and Dad showed much love for
me throughout my life and I miss them very much.
I miss you all.
Love,

Bernard and Phyllis were my Godparents.
Mostly what I remember is just how many people you could fit into
one house! 6 kids!
Now having 3 of my own, I realize what a job that must have been.
I remember a lot about that house - the pool with the giant metal
slide, the old building with all the junk cars, now occupied by
Green Street School, the kitchen with 2 entrances (I don't know,
to a kid that's really cool, OK?). I remember playing horseshoes,
and I remember the time I hurt my hand outside while playing with
the kids and one of them telling me, "It's OK. My mom is
a block parent".I had no idea what that meant. But mostly
I remember that every year on my birthday I got a special card
from my Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Bernard. I'm guessing that they
prayed for me while I was growing up, as is a Godparent's job.
Thank you, both, and I'll be praying for YOUR family as they go
through these hard times.

I had known "Bernie"
for about three years or maybe longer, ever since he became one
of our security guards at WCCC. He was such a good friend to me,
and to many others here as well. His forte was that he could make
you feel special and he always told you how great you are. As
people came in our doors, he greeted them with a "Hi, How's
it going?" or "What's new and exciting?" if he
knew you a little better. During his time here, Bernie made many
lasting friendships, and I had the privilege and honor to be part
of his life. He touched so many! Among his stories, I remember
the ones about his wife and how much she was loved. I will also
remember fondly his sense of humor, and how much he and I could
joke around. He will be missed greatly. When some people cross
your path you are made better because of it, thank you,God.

Bernie was a special person. One of a kind. I will always remember
when I first came to WCCC. I didn't have many friends. He was
one of the first people who paid attention to me. He was a great
friend. One to whom I could tell all my problems and he would
listen. Really listen. He was a special person and he will be
sorely missed. But, I'm glad that I got a chance to know him.
I LOVE YOU BERNIE!!!
