Bonnie was my neighbor growing up on Gladstone Street in East Bangor, Pa 18013. I remember Bonnie as a wonderful young woman whose older sister Donna was such a good big sister to Bonnie. My mother, Cora, used to take care of Bonnie when she was a little girl growing up. She attended East Bangor United Methodist Church and Sunday School as a child and worked very hard in the video stores throughout her adult life. She had a true love for her dogs and will always remain in our hearts and prayers as her father's daughter. We truly will remember all the good times we shared in East Bangor and treasure the good memories. Bonnie will be missed by many of us. We love you, Bonnie.

I remember Bonnie from the time we were all little kids growing up in East Bangor. She lived across the street from my friend Judy and we would play together and take walks as we grew older. She was always quiet and reserved. She was a wonderful, loving, good friend. When were all grew up she stayed close by to that little town of East Bangor. I remember her as a sweet person, always had a kind word to say to her customers and her friends at the video store. She loved her animals very much. Bonnie, if you are out there looking down on us, please know you are being missed very much. We are all deeply saddened by your death. We love Bonnie. I wish we had a chance to tell you that more often.

"Boni" and I met each other in 1988 when we opened Video Systems II. We quickly became great friends, even though we worked a lot of hours together we still spent even more time together outside of the store. She was such a great person with a deep soul. The laughs and great times we shared over the years will never leave my memory. It's funny that with as sad as this has left me, when I think back on the old days it brings a smile to my face that accompanies the tears in my eyes. My husband's and my thoughts and prayers are with Boni's family and all the other people that Boni touched over the years. To know her was to love her! I will miss her.
Sincerely,
Cerri, Allen, Chad & Cole Schafer

Boni and I were "partners in crime" at 48 Hours. She would often call me looking for some paperwork that she knew I had, for she always told me I was way too organized. I'm going to miss our scenic, aka wrong turn, drives to the manager's meetings. We had some great morning conversations, and I'll miss "bumping into her" at the bank. I'll mostly miss Ludo's back door visits to the store. Boni you will be gravely missed. Thanks for always listening, making me laugh and being such a great friend.

I know Boni from working at the tanning salon where she tanned. It was hard not to be drawn to her kindness and her smile. She was one of the most thoughtful people I ever met. I was terribly saddened by her passing and truly hope she is at peace now. I will miss her.

I met Boni through my sister, Cerri. I always looked forward to seeing both Boni and Ludo at Needful Things. She loved her pets and she was a very nice person to talk to. She will be sadly missed by a lot of people who have had the privilege to meet her.

"Boni" came into my life when I worked for her at Needful Things. She was a wonderful employer and Ludo too. My husband and I where the first new tenants in the apartment building on Pennsylvania Avenue. I will never forget the great moments of learning the "knack" of making great tasting mochas and coffees. We send all our love and deepest sympathy to her family and those who have been touched by an "Awesome person". Ludo has lossed an "Awesome person" also. God Bless.

Bonnie and I met in high school and soon became good friends. We shared a lot of the same interests including roller skating, horror movies, REO Speedwagon (keep in mind it was the 80's), the color pink, and endless hours of clothing, hair, and makeup sessions! You could often find us at the Big Wheel skating rink on weekends, especially the all-night skates they used to have. We would joke around about not being able to make it over the mountain in her little Volkswagen Rabbit she drove. After high school, Bonnie and a friend would come over to play cards and games with me while I recuperated from an accident. Over the years we got together less often until we would just "catch up" at the video stores where she worked. I often wished we would get together more often. Bonnie was a good friend to me. She had a lot more friends than she realized and we'll all miss her very much. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all her friends and family from Kim Lambert and Family.

We were there when Bonnie was born and while she was growing up. She spent many hours playing with our son, Mark, who was one year older than Bonnie, while we sat with Marian & "Bunk" drinking coffee and playing "hoss & pepper" cards at their kitchen table. Your life was so short and we haven't seen you or been in touch for many years but are deeply sadden by your passing.

Bonnie was one of the few people in my high school days that I could truly call my friend. It was great spending time with her either at the roller rink or just chatting about boys! Bonnie was such a darling person. I'm sorry that she will never know just how special she was to so many of us. May you find God's peace.

We have known Bonnie since she had her video rental store in Pen Argyl. She had her own store before she became a clerk in 48 Hrs. We shall sorely miss her: my daughter Paula, husband Elan. We even got kittens from her. God bless, Bonnie!

Although I had only known Boni for a few years, each time I saw her - whether at the video store or grocery store, she was always pleasant and especially enjoyed talking about Ludo. Boni will be missed by a lot of people and remembered for her kindness and smile.

Boni was my boss at 48 Hrs Video. Over the years that I worked with her, we became very close. She was always there for me when I needed her. I looked to her not only as my boss, but a dear friend. She could guide me in the right direction when I needed advice. Even on my bad days she always seemed to get me laughing and was able to bring a smile to my face. She was so kind to everybody that came into the store. She would try to help out anybody if they needed it. She enjoyed spending time with her animals, especially her dog Ludo. I wish I could have gotten a chance to tell her how much I appreciated her being there for me when I needed her, and how much I enjoyed having her around. You will be forever missed. I love and miss you Boni. *God has gotten one of his angels back*

Bonnie Kay was only about 4 yrs. old when we moved next to her on Gladstone St. in East Bangor. She was the cutest and most petite little girl when she was little, almost fragile one would say. But she opened up to us right away and became a daily part of our lives. She was quite the "little lady" even then, I don't remember her ever with a dirty face or hands. She just loved to play with her toys and her dolls. She also loved her daddy so very much, and was the "Apple" of his eye. His nickname for her was Sam, I have no idea where that came from, but she was the happiest little girl in the world when she was up on her daddy's shoulders, her little face would just light up. Through the years we watched her grow, and as is usually the case, have her ups and downs, but I always admired her and told her how proud we were of her, despite her many obstacles. I only wish I had the chance to tell her more often. May you be "riding high" on your daddy's shoulders again and forever, with a great big grin. That's how we will remember you, Bonnie.

I met Bonnie years ago when I worked in the same building complex. She was so helpful to all of those whom she encountered. When she began working at 48 Hours Video, she touched each and everyone she met. One Christmas I was looking for a particular video that is no longer available, and she went out of her way to give me numerous web sites to help me find what I was looking for. She was also very kind and loving to my daughter. She loved Bonnie's dog and was thrilled whenever she had the opportunity for "kisses". Bonnie will be missed, but the angels are now blessed to have her in heaven, as are we, for she will now be looking out for us here.

Bonnie and I grew up together. We lived next to each other. I remember a lot of great times Bonnie and I had together. Her mom made us Barbie clothes and we would play forever with them. My brother and Bonnie went to school together. My mother has a lot of pictures of them going off on their first day of school and field trips together. When we moved to Blaine Street, Bonnie would still come up. We would go swimming a lot. One time Bonnie didn't feel like going in and my cousin said do you think you are sugar you will not melt. We all had a good laugh. We will miss seeing you and talking about times when we where kids. Love, Kathy

Just like many others, Boni was my first boss but looking back now, she was so much more. I first met her when I started working at Video Systems, was still with her when she started Needful Things and Ludo came into her life, helped her cope with closing Needful Things, and then there is always that summer we worked for Rich repairing concrete panels. Over the years we became very close spending time together at work and outside of work. No matter what we were doing we were always laughing even during the worst times. Boni loved her time working at the store. I don't think she realized how much people loved her store and enjoyed visiting with her and Ludo every week. She turned a simple video store into something fun and unique. I truly enjoyed my time working at Needful Things. Over past few years, as I completed college and began working, Boni and I had lost touch. I regret not having a chance to tell her how much she meant to me and to so many others. Boni, I will miss you and our time together so much. You always said to me, "Why are you hanging out with someone half your age?" To those who knew you, we all understand why. I wish that you could have seen in yourself what everyone around you saw. You are forever in my heart. My only comfort is knowing that now you are at peace.

When I first met Boni was about two years ago in 2003 at 48 Hours
Video Store, every so often I would go in there and she would
always have a smile and say hello, our meetings were always short
but she made it very easy to talk to her. Boni and I started hanging
out towards the end of the summer of last year and eventually
became roommates in December 2004. She always had this unique
way about her that could warm and touch anyone's heart that she
came across. She had class, she was selfless, and it was the little
things that people did for her that she cherished and would remember
the most. " Boni, I will miss the times that we spent together.
" When we would either be chillin out at home talking, watching
24, our morning coffee before work, and most importantly the car
rides with Ludo a.k.a(her Bubbie Bear)... Thank you for welcoming
me into your's and Ludo's life, and also for being such a good
friend to me. You will never be forgotten, and I know that you
are at peace now...
Always in my thoughts, Love,

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have to say good-bye to a wonderful person. It was always a pleasure to deliver mail to 48 Hr. Video when you were working. Your smile was always greatly appreciated. You always seemed to know what movies my wife and I would enjoy. I took your recommendation time and time again. After renting them, I always told you that you were right! Next time my wife makes blueberry muffins, I will think of you and wish I could bring you some. I know you enjoyed them and appreciated them. Delivering mail to the store will never be the same--you touched the hearts of many and will be sorely missed. May God keep you in His care. Rest in peace!

Bonnie and I grew up together in East Bangor. I remember starting school together, riding the bus with our matching polka dot raincoats, sharing blueberry sundaes at the "Twirl Top" and being madly in love with Shaun Cassidy. We drifted apart during high school as many childhood friends do. I moved away and never reconnected with Bonnie after returning "home". I hold dear the many memories that I shared with Bonnie and pray that she has found the peace that she desired. It is obvious that you have left behind many who held you close at heart, rest in peace Bonnie.

I first met Boni through my brother David. He was living with her at that time. We talked a little bit when I would call the house to talk to my brother and she answered the phone. We eventually became friends after I moved to Pen Argyl, down the street from where she and my brother lived. We started talking and hanging out together more and more as time went on. We would go shopping or watch t.v. (mostly 24) and movies. She was always a very good listener when I needed someone to talk to and we always laughed a lot or picked on my brother when we hung out. She was a great friend and a great person and I will always remember the fun times we had. Boni I miss you and I hope you are at peace and happy now up in heaven.
Love always you friend,

Boni will be sorley missed! Words cannot describe how neat a person that Boni is! No matter how down she was feeling, she always had a smile for people and a soft heart for animals. My daughter was like her daughter and she would spoil her because of it. (especially getting the tatoo of her!) Ludo (aka "Bubba") was like her son. For those of you who didn't know, he was named after a character in one of our favorite movie, "Labrinyth". Everyone knew what a movie buff she was. You didn't know a name of a movie, just ask Boni, she'll tell you. I'll never be able to watch "I Love Lucy", "Scooby Doo" or see the preview for a new horror flick without thinking of her. She was the only one who would tell me the ending of one of those movies so that I could sit through it. There are some qualities that I cherish in the people that I love, wit, humor courage, loyalty, faith and compassion. Boni had all of these qualities, and these qualities outlast the body. They live on in the memories of family and friends, inspiring others. They don't vanish, they live on in a soul that endures. I miss Boni terribly, but I know that she's watching out for Olivia and I and will never be "gone" to us! We love you lots!!!

I first met "Boni" when I was in second grade. I used to go into "Video Systems" and "Needful Things" and help out. I remember how much fun I had and what a good friend Boni was to me. We always talked about I Love Lucy and she knew my obsession with the movie La Bamba. It breaks my heart to know I didn't say goodbye to her. I loved her so much. My condolences to her family.
