It was a pleasure getting reacquainted with my uncle "Pacquito" a couple of weeks ago. When last we met, I was but 5 years old, leaving the Philippines with my mother and little brother to emigrate to the USA where my father was waiting for us. This was back in 1971. Of course I had no recollection of the event, but uncle Pacquito remembered, and he was very happy to see me again after 35 years had passed. I am so glad I made the trip from Indy to Dayton to meet him, Auntie Consuelo, Laida and her husband, Art. It was a heartwarming gathering. Little did I know that uncle would pass away so soon. Knowing how faithful he was to God and to the Catholic Church, I'm certain my uncle Francisco is rejoicing with God in the Eternal Kingdom. Pray for us, uncle, for you are now closer to Him than we are.

On behalf of the entire Gallardo clan in Occidental Mindoro, Philippines, we would like to express our warmest sympathy and deepest condolences to the Victorino Family. We will never forget his profound generosity, his open hands to everyone, and his sense of humour. And he became, for most of us, a father, a friend and a guardian angel.

We also call him Papa. He was introduced by cousin Art and Laida. Although we only met him twice, we had the connection. He was very likable, just like Mama. When we heard that Papa and Mama are back here in the States, we planned of visiting them in NJ or them visiting us in VA for the fun just like what we had before. We never thought that we will never see him again.
