Frederick Vought

Frederick "Pappy", "Pete" Vought, 71, of Harmony Twp., died Thursday, November 23, 2000 in the Lopatcong Center.

He was a truck driver for Ise Farm in Broadway, NJ for many years before his retirement.

Born June 13, 1929 in Windsor, NY, he was the son of the late Fred and Mildred Furman Vought.

He was an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, Occupation of Japan Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation and a Meritorious Unit Commendation.

He is survived by a sister, Nancy E. Smith of Phillipsburg, a brother Curtis W. of Texas; three nieces, Cindy Smith with whom he resided and Hope Smith Betty Jones, both of Phillipsburg, and a great-grand nephew, David Smith of Phillipsburg.

Private cremation will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home. Rev. John Kleist, pastor of the Lutheran Church of Stewartsville will officiate the services.
