Hazel S. Woodruff, 86, of Ross Twp., Saylorsburg, formerly of Palmer Twp., died Friday, January 2, 1998 in the Easton Nursing Center, Easton.

Born April 15, 1911 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John M., Sr. and Jenny M. Gross Smith.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

Her husband, Chester W. Woodruff died in 1971.

She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte M. DeYoung of Saylorsburg, Joan H. Thatcher of Palmer Twp., five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Four brothers, John M. Jr., Jenning G., David R. and James S. and a sister, Gertie Smith all died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery, Stewartsville, NJ. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Monday in the funeral home.
