Paul G. Wieller

Paul G. Wieller, 81, recently of Palmer Township, formerly of Saylorsburg, Pa., and Bloomsbury, NJ, died upon arrival at Easton Hospital, Saturday, June 30, 2007.

Paul was the owner and operator of the Daisy Family Restaurant in Wind Gap from 1969 until his retirement in 2003. He was also a salesman for R&R Provisions in Easton.

Born April 26, 1926 in Bloomsbury, NJ, he was a son of the late John J., Sr., and Elizabeth Keifer Wieller.

Paul was an Aviation Ordnanceman, Third Class in the Navy, serving in both World War II and the Korean War. Proud to have been of service to his country, Paul contributed greatly to the building of the World War II Memorial in Washington, DC. He was also a member of American Legion Post 0927 in Gilbert, Pa.

He graduated Churchman Business School, Easton.

He was a long-time member of the Church of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Bloomsbury, NJ, and later joined Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, in Brodheadsville, Pa.

His wife of fifty-seven years, the former Barbara A. Weber, died in 2005.

Paul is survived by four sons; Mark A. and his wife Barbara A., of Nazareth, David E. and his wife Eileen, of Harmony Township, Christopher P. and his wife Christine of Bath, and John J. and his wife Linda of Forks Township; three daughters, Mary Lynn Durocher and her husband Robert of Feeding Hills, Mass, Kathleen Carota and her husband Leonard of Sewell, NJ and Barbara A. Merritt and her husband Kevin of Alpha, NJ; sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Andrew and John Jr., and a sister, Marie Buck, all died earlier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, in the Church of the Annunciation, 80 Main St., Bloomsbury, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
