Helen M. Wynkoop

Helen M. Wynkoop, 56, of Bethlehem Twp., Pa., formerly of Chambers St., Phillipsburg, NJ, died Friday, May 7, 1993 in her home.

She was employed by Ingersoll-Rand Co. in Phillipsburg from 1974 until 1992 in a variety of positions including clerk, typist and secretary in different divisions within the company, including Cameron Shipping, Cameron Mfg., Cameron Purchasing, Turbo Purchasing, Sales and Nuclear/Navy Planning.

Born March 14, 1937 in Alpha, NJ, she was the daughter of John Vargo, of Alpha and the late Helen Dekmar Vargo.

A 1955 graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Helen was a majorette in the school band. She later served as head majorette for the high school's Alumni Band from the late 1950's until the mid 1970's.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Helen and her husband, Walter R. Wynkoop, Jr. observed their 34th wedding anniversary last June 7th.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by two daughters, Denise M. and Lori J., both of Bethlehem Twp.; a son Walter R. III of Forks Twp. and a brother, John Vargo of Palmer Twp.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., Pa. Calling hours will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
