Mary Zamataro, 96, of Northampton, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, February 24, 2001 in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa. Born February 21, 1905 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Boscia Frinzi. She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. Her husband, the late Joseph Zamataro died February 16, 1986. She is survived by a son, James S. of Palmer Twp.; five daughters, Jennie Castone and Grace Bevilacqua, both of Phillipsburg, Josephine Regina of Bethlehem, Lucille Patriarca of Williams Twp. and Joan Marie Mariano of Palmer Twp.; two brothers, John and Charles Frinzi, both of Phillipsburg; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Salvatore, Joseph and Anthony Frinzi and five sisters, Pearl Ritz, Josephine DeThomas, Rose Polcari, Dorothy Fuller and Jennie Frinzi. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426 S Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Twp., NJ. Calling hours will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
