Timothy E. Wynkoop

Timothy E. Wynkoop, a native of Phillipsburg, is a New Jersey and Pennsylvania licensed funeral director and has been the owner and manager of the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home since 1991.

As a freshman at Phillipsburg High School, Tim worked "behind the scenes" in funeral service; washing cars, sweeping the sidewalks, delivering chairs to families homes, assisting on visitations and funeral services, and whatever he could do at that time. Every aspect of funeral service and helping families through their loss appealed to him and he sought to make funeral service his life's ambition.

Upon graduating Phillipsburg High School in 1981, Tim moved to Frenchtown, N.J., where he served his funeral director's apprenticeship with the W.E. Johnson Funeral Home while concurrently attending Mercer County Community College for funeral service education. In 1985, Tim successfully completed his apprenticeship and course of studies and earned an Associates in Applied Science degree and his Funeral Service Education Certificate from MCCC. Having passed both his National Funeral Service Examination Boards and the New Jersey State Jurisprudence Examination, Tim received his New Jersey Funeral Director's License. (License Number JP03770)

Having lived and worked in communities along the border of New Jersey and Pennsylvania all his life, Tim realized the value of furthering his professional career to include a Pennsylvania funeral director's license. To do so, he moved to Emmaus, Pa. in 1985 where he worked for the Horace W. Schantz Funeral Home. In 1987, Tim had met all the requirements necessary to receive his Pennsylvania Funeral Director's license, and upon successful completion of the Pennsylvania State Funeral Directors examination, Tim earned his Pennsylvania funeral director's license. (License 013013-L)

After beginning his pursuit of a career in funeral service, Tim returned home to Phillipsburg in August of 1991 to become the successor to Joseph A. Noto and the Joseph A. Noto Funeral Home, which was established in 1965.

Through the years, Tim has always maintained a focus of helping others and has been an active member of his community. He formerly served as a certified eye enucleator for the Northeast Pennsylvania Lion's Eye Bank, volunteering in the process of allowing those visually impaired to regain their vision.
