Timothy E. Wynkoop, Biography Continued His community involvements include currently serving as the vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Phillipsburg Area Meals-on-Wheels and is a past-president of the Phillipsburg Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Warren County Serra Club, a member and former treasurer of the Holy Name Society of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg, a member of Warren Council, 474, Knights of Columbus, in Phillipsburg and a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Pope John XXIII, 669 Assembly, Phillipsburg. He is a life member and former treasurer of the Phillipsburg Area Historical Society. Professionally, Tim maintains memberships in local, state and national funeral director's associations for the benefit of serving the people of his community. He is a past-president of both the Eastern Pennsylvania Funeral Director's Association and the Tri-County (N.J.) Funeral Director's Association, he is a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Director's Association where he serves on the Electronic Death Certificate Registration Committee, and is a member of the National Funeral Director's Association. Tim values his memberships in the professional organizations because of their ability to be a timely resource for the ever changing needs of the people he serves. In 1995, Tim was honored to be one of the recipients selected to receive the New Jersey Jaycee's Ten Outstanding Citizens of New Jersey Award. Of particular interest to Tim is the opportunity to publicly speak about funeral service to area schools and civic groups. On several occasions, Tim has been invited to be a guest speaker at Phillipsburg High School career days and was also a guest speaker for the Phillipsburg Middle School Success Day several years ago, as an alumni of both schools who has achieved success following graduation. "It's always an exciting opportunity to speak to the kids who sit in the exact same places I have, and assure them that they can really achieve any level of success they want, just as I have achieved mine", Tim says. "In doing so, you walk away with a renewed realization of exactly what you have accomplished since you set you own goals, and you hope that you have inspired the kids to work hard and believe in themselves". Tim resides in Phillipsburg with his wife, the former Lisa Minnich and their three daughters, Rebekah, Juliana and Abby and a son, Owen. |
