Lawrence A. "Larry" Levitskie, 78, of Lopatcong Township, N.J., formerly of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away November 20, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 19, 1942, in Camden, NJ, Larry was the son of the late Edward A. Levitskie and Stella (Maziska) Levitskie.
Larry graduated from Camden High School in 1960, where he was a tackle on the varsity football team. He then received his electronics technician certification from Camden County Vocational School.
He was a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in Chews Landing, N.J. where he was a member of the choir for several years.
In 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Georgia E. Bela, and they spent the next 58 years together until his passing. They raised two loving daughters and enjoyed traveling and visiting many places, some of their favorites being the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Hawaii, Italy, Greece and Turkey. Larry also loved classical music.
Larry worked as a technical writer for Philco in Philadelphia, PA and retired after 30 years as a Graphics Department Manager from Permalith Laminating Co. in Pennsauken, N.J. Never one to stay idle, Larry continued working part-time for Sears and even started his own handyman business, “Mr. Lefixkie.” In his free time, Larry was always busy doing home improvement jobs and lent a hand to anyone who needed help with a project.
His family remembers him for being a hard worker and a man who loved his family.
Larry and Georgia resided for 34 years in Chews Landing, N.J. Following Larry's retirement, they fulfilled a longtime dream of living on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They later moved to Williamsburg, Virginia where they spent another 12 happy years together, making many friends at the Villas of Five Forks. They recently moved to Lopatcong Township to be closer to their daughters.

Larry is survived by the love of his life, Georgia E. (Bela) Levitskie and two daughters, Michelle M. Sparks and her husband, Dean, of Pedricktown, N.J. and Kristin A. Levitskie and her husband Edward (Edd) Dicker, of Allamuchy Twp., N.J. He was predeceased by his sister, Antonia James who had lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and Williamsburg, Virginia.
