Vincent Anthony "Jimmy" Polcari, 88, of Pen Argyl, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ. died Tuesday, September 24, 2019.

Born December 4, 1930 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late John and Rose (Frinzi) Polcari.

Vincent honorably served in the Navy during the Korean War.

Vincent worked for the State of New Jersey as a bridge inspector. He also owned Peggy's Place in Lopatcong Township and Hellertown many years ago.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. He was also a member of the Bernardine May American Legion Post #457, Phillipsburg. His hobbies included throwing darts, pitching quoits, bowling and golfing. He was also a Yankees and Eagles fan.

His wife, the late Patricia Ann (Hoover) Bartha Polcari, died March 17, 1982.

Survivors include three sons, Anthony (Susan) of Pen Argyl, James of Pen Argyl and Robert and his companion, Laura Christman of Bethlehem, PA; four daughters, Rosemary Polcari-Werner (Harold) of Nazareth, PA, Gina Lohmeyer (Brandon) of Northwood, OH, Peggy Doebblin of Washington, NJ and Shirley Flynn of Phillipsburg; three brothers, John (Irene) of Easton, Anthony (Judy) of Easton and Robert (June) of Phillipsburg; two sisters, Mary Josephine Corpora of Phillipsburg and Grace Maragulia of Easton; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A grandson, Nicholas Polcari died December 14, 2010.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ. Services will begin 9:15 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, 426 South Main St, Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.

Those planning an expression of sympathy, are asked to consider donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Disabled American Veterans Department of NJ.
