Alan E. Perini, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, due to heart complications. He was 69 years old.
A devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Alan was a man of great warmth, wit, and compassion. He is survived by his loving daughters, Allison and Kelly Perini, his cherished grandson Kassian Beatty, and his beloved sister Denise Everitt. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew, Krista, Alisha, and Gary Everitt.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Anthony and Matthew Perini; and by his parents, Viola Basta and Harry Perini.
Born in 1956, Alan graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1974. He went on to work as a dedicated steelworker at Victaulic for over 30 years, where he forged not only steel, but lifelong friendships and an enduring work ethic.
Alan was a passionate New York Yankees fan, and few things brought him more joy than watching a ball game—especially at Yankee Stadium, surrounded by friends and family. He loved both baseball and football, and was always ready to talk stats, plays, or rivalries. His enthusiasm for sports was a constant throughout his life and something he proudly shared with those around him. An avid amateur astronomer, he spent many evenings stargazing through his telescope, captivated by the planets and the mysteries of the universe.
He also loved the beach and found peace in the sand and surf, especially during family trips to Long Beach Island (LBI), a place full of cherished memories and laughter.
Above all, Alan was a loving father whose strength, humor, and steady presence shaped the lives of those closest to him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he touched.
Services will be private for the family at St. Mary’s Church in Alpha, New Jersey. A celebration of life is being planned for September, where friends and loved ones will be invited to gather and honor Alan’s memory.
