Amedio A. “Mid” Romagnoli, 81, of Wilson Borough, Pa, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, died Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Easton Hospital.
Born June 7, 1931 in Alpha, NJ, he was a son of the late Adamo and Nancy Maroni Romagnoli.
He was a chief boiler engineer at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, for thirty years, retiring in 1997.
Mid was a Private First Class in the Army, from 1948 to 1952. He was assigned to the Company “E” 4th Infantry Regimental Combat Team.
He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.
He was a member of the VFW Post 1290, of Easton, where he served on the funeral honors detail for many years; VFW Post 739, Bangor, Pa; Lester W Pfeffer American Legion Post 611 Easton, Pa; Disabled American Veteran’s Warren County Chapter 48, Phillipsburg, NJ and was a life member of the Northampton County Marine Corp. Detachment 298, Wilson Borough, Pa. He was also a life member of the N.R.A.
Mid and his wife, the former Elizabeth G. “Betsy” Casey Dicker, observed their fourth wedding anniversary last October.
In addition to his wife, Mid is survived by a son, Amedio J. and his wife, Holly, of Wilson Borough; a brother, Bruno and his wife, Frances, of Easton; a sister Elaine Peroni, of Phillipsburg and Lena Keifer, of Palmer Township; a granddaughter, Amanda J; step-daughters, Tiffany White and Trish Brennan; great-grandson, Abel J; three step-grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley and Bella; step children, Valerie Woirhaye and her husband, Gary; Edward and his wife, Kristin and Eileen Dicker, and several nieces. A brother, Dino, died earlier.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St, Phillipsburg. Funeral services will begin 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the church, 426 South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Burial will be in St. Philip and St. James Cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.
