Anna Mary Cuva, 87, of Phillipsburg, went with the Lord, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her home.
Born January 29, 1924, in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Amelia DeBernardi Cuva.
Mary worked at Warren Hospital in the Pediatrics Department, retiring in 1986
She was a lifelong member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. She graduated St. Philip and St. James High School in 1942
Mary’s entire life was devoted to her family. This passion included many family trips, especially to the Jersey Shore.
Remaining in the family home, she ensured that the family traditions would continue. The love and attention she showered on everyone is her legacy.
Survivors include two sisters, Victoria Wagner of Easton, PA, Amelia Garvey of Bradford NY; a brother-in-law, Robert Shook of Easton PA; 11 nieces and nephews, 25 great nieces and great nephews as well as Jolene, for whom Mary had a special place in her heart. Two sisters, Josephine Elmo and Angelina Shook died earlier.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Sunday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St, Phillipsburg. Services will begin 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the church, 426 South Main St,
Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.
