Barbara Ann Long, 81, of Forks Township, PA, died Wednesday, August 21, 2019.
Born December 18, 1937 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late James Phillips and Helen (Sipos) Phillips Simonize.
Barbara was a long-time employee and supervisor for Koh-I-Noor, Bloomsbury, NJ, where she considered many co-workers to be dear friends and has enjoyed their reunions through the years. Barbara liked reading, bird watching and perhaps the thing she enjoyed most was time spent with her family, especially their trips to the beach at Wildwood, NJ.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Palmer Township, PA.
Her husband, the late N. Richard Long, died October 13, 1990.
Survivors include two sons, James and his wife Andrea of Greencastle, PA and Richard and his partner, Caryl Perry-Pysher of Easton, PA; two daughters, Lisa Smith and her husband Joseph of Danielsville, PA and Tracy Flynn and her husband John of Phillipsburg; a sister, Judith Phillips-Korp of Alpha, NJ; 13 grandchildren, Adam and Aaron Smith, Kristen, Stephanie and Jamie Colucci, Alexandria and Richard Long, Lauren DiVittorio, Chezada and Joshua Sportelli, Stephanie Jola and Dylan Flynn; 11 great-grandchildren, Kale Cummings, Andrew Penrose-DiVittorio, Liam DiVittorio, Connor, Morgan and Max Tiernan, Madison Smith, Alexa and Jackson Jola and Tyler and Jessica Reinheart. A granddaughter, Gabrielle Long and Barbara's step-father, Frederick W. Simonize died earlier.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, PA. Arrangements: Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ.
