Bernard J Danner, Sr

Bernard J. Danner, 80, of Phillipsburg, died Monday, April 11, 2016 in Phillipsburg.

Born April 30, 1935, he was a son of the late Millard R. and Frances Ward Danner.

Bernard served as a Corporal in the Marine Corps. during the Korean War.

He was employed as a truck driver in the maintenance department of the New Jersey Department of Transportation, working at the Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County yard.

He was a member of the West Easton Fire Co, Avona Fire Co, Phillipsburg Fire Co. No. 1, the  Citizen's Hose Co. and the Order of Fleas.

His wife, the former Lois L. Rissmiller died June 2, 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Bernard, Jr and James, both at home; a daughter, Darlene M. Fye of  Phillipsburg; three grandchildren, Keith and Katie Fye and Shane Danner; four great-grandchildren, Emily and Brooke Fye and Logan and Sage Danner. Two brothers, Raymond and Patrick and four sisters, Anna A. Faust, Marie Danner, Fances Dezzi and Eileen Murphy Janisch all died earlier.
