Blanche Doris Baker, born August 2,1929 in Easton, PA., was a daughter of the late Elwood ‘Gouge’ and Lillian May (Greenleaf) Andrews. She passed away on December 6, 2023 at the age of 94.
Her husband of 39 years, the late Charles Baker, Sr. died June 1, 2000.
After retiring from OPT Industries in Lopatcong Township, NJ in 1991, she enjoyed camping with her grandchildren, playing Bridge with her friends at the Phillipsburg Senior Center and serving as the president of the Andover Kent Towers Social Club in Phillipsburg.
She loved cooking, baking, reading, playing Rummikub and especially loved playing cards. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Betty Jean Bogoly and husband Steven Bogoly of Forks Township, Joseph Rose Jr. of Phillipsburg, Mary Decker and husband Donald; and Richard Baker and wife Shanna of Allentown; a sister, Debra Andrews of Bethlehem; a brother, George Andrews of Medford Lakes;12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
She is preceded in death by three children, Lillian Rose, William Rose and Charles Baker Jr.; six brothers, Elwood, Richard, William, Nelson, Paul, and Clifford Andrews; three sisters, Lillian Brozman, Sandra Chris, and Elizabeth Moore.
Services are private for the family. Blanche will rest with her husband at Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, PA.
