Carmella N Bullock

Carmella N. Bullock, 94, of Phillipsburg, died January 2, 2024 in her home.

Born December 26, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Natale and Josephine (Mirabela) Calafiore.

She formerly worked as a licensed practical nurse and worked at several area hospitals, nursing homes and also served as a private duty nurse.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg and their Over-Fifties Club. In years past, Carmella used to enjoy cross country trips with her husband, especially to the St. Lawrence River in NY to Salmon fish. She loved pasta, reading books and doing the Jumble puzzle in the newspaper. She cherished her family and her two grandchildren.

Carmella's husband, Roland M. Bullock, Jr. observed fifty-eight years of marriage before his death May 8, 2008.

Survivors include her son, Edward P. Bullock and his wife Michele of Phillipsburg, a grandson, Greg and a granddaughter Alison and her fiance, Ian Mottram and Carmella's last sibling, Vincie Sampson of Phillipsburg. Her brothers Pasquale and John and sisters, Nancy Walters, Josephine Coringrato and Jenny Ruta all died earlier.

We would like to thank her caregivers Alison,  Bernice, Donna, Jennifer, Kathy, and Stacey for their excellent care & dedication to her as well as Karen Ann Quinlann hospice.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main Street, Phillipsburg. (www.noto-wynkoop.com) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Tuesday in St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, 430 South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.
