Carmila "Millie" Walter-Campbell, 88, of Pohatcong Township, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in St. Luke's Hospital - Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Millie was a seamstress with Gary Lee Sportswear Company, Alpha, NJ and retired from A&H Sportswear, Easton, PA.
Born February 12, 1924 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale "Pat" and Angela Gianni Noto.
She graduated Phillipsburg High School in 1941, then attended Churchman's Business School, Easton.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Alpha.
Millie was an avid reader and enjoyed oil painting, art, antiques, music and the friendship with many people. She enjoyed family gatherings for luncheons.
She was a member of the A.A.R.P., Phillipsburg Chapter; the International Ladies UNITE Union; the Phillipsburg Senior Center and of its art group; the Friends Club; and the Seniors Groups of St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Church, Phillipsburg.
Her two husbands, Douglas R. Walter and David K. Campbell, died earlier.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis G. Walter of Nazareth, Pa, Alan J. Walter of Wilson Borough and Douglas R. Walter, Jr and his wife Helen, of Easton; a brother, Pat Noto and his wife, Peg; a sister, Anna Schooley of Anchorage, Alaska; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Walter, James Walturz and his wife, Crissi, Matthew Walter and his wife, Jenn; four great-grandchildren, Andrea Huxel, Kelsey Love Walturz, Dylan Walter and Kinsey Moon Walturz. A sister, Angelina Misero and two brothers, Anthony and Russell Noto died earlier.
Interment will be held 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 in the Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a memorial service, 10:00 a.m. at the church, High Street, Alpha, NJ.
