Carol L (Pierce) Hutchison

Carol L. Hutchison, 69, of Phillipsburg, NJ, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in her home.

Born August 16, 1943 in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Marion L. Wilson Pierce.

Carol was a nurse aide at the former Garden Nursing Home in Phillipsburg.

Her family will remember Carol for helping to raise and care for many of her siblings after the loss of their mother at a young age. She was loved by all who knew her. She will also be remembered for her love of making candy and fudge, and going to craft fairs.

Her husband, the late William C. Hutchison, died September 7, 1992.

Survivors include a brother, John "Jack" T. Pierce and his wife, Linda, of Wilson Borough; a sister, Darlene Silverthorn and her husband, Kenneth, of Nazareth; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Carol's brothers, Richard, William, Paul, and most recently, David, Sr, died earlier.

Visitation will be held Sunday, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Funeral services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, Pa. Online condolences may be submitted at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
