Charles "Charlie" K. Bodogh, Sr., 67, of Phillipsburg, NJ, formerly of Alpha, NJ, died July 7, 2022.
Born August 24, 1954 in Phillipsburg, NJ, to Charles J. Bodogh of Alpha and the late Mary G. (Poretta) Bodogh.
Charlie was a maintenance mechanic for FiberMark in Warren Glen, NJ and for the FilmTech Corporation, Allentown, PA, from which he retired.
He was a Life Member, past Assistant Chief, long time Secretary and Trustee of the Alpha Volunteer Fire Company, Alpha, NJ and was a member of the New Jersey Firemen's Relief Association and the New Jersey Exempt Firemen's Association. He was also a Life Member and a past Lieutenant and Chief Driver of the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad. He loved sharing his vast knowledge with the men and women he served with.
Charlie enjoyed spending time with his son, riding his motorcycle, fishing, learning new things and was always up for helping with projects. He liked to cook and had an unbelievable ability to repair almost anything. His wisdom, guidance, compassion and understanding and friendship will be greatly missed.
His wife of twenty-eight years, the late Ann Marie (Bogoly) Bodogh died in 2002.
In addition to his father, Charlie is survived by his son, Charles "Chuck" K. Bodogh, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Alpha; two brothers, Thomas P. and his wife Margaret of Alpha and Paul C. of Saylorsburg, Pa.; in-laws Russell & Ruth Bogoly of Phillipsburg, Steven and Betty Jean Bogoly of Forks Twp. and Dorthy and Bud Cole of Bangor and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ. (www.noto-wynkoop.com) Services will be held 10:30 am, Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, Pa.
