Charles David Simons

Charles D. "Chot" Simons, 56, of Lansford, Pa, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 in his home.

Born October 23, 1955 in Easton, Pa, he was a son of Norman M. and Joyce L. Miers Simons, of Phillipsburg.

Chot was in the Navy during the Vietnam War, from 1973 to 1977, serving aboard the U.S.S. Francis Marion.

He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Tamaqua, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Josh, of Easton; two daughters, Sherry Joyce Simons and Shannan Simons, both of Phillipsburg; four brothers, Oliver, of Reading, Pa, Ricky of Temple, Pa, Robert and Timothy of Phillipsburg and a sister, Joan Williams, of Allentown, Pa; two adopted sons, Danny and Kenny Simons and an adopted daughter, Amanda Simons; a step-son, Ron, seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews and his former wife, Sherry Wilmott, of Bear Creek Twp, Pa.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St, Phillipsburg. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow the services.
