Clark "Willie" W. Deemer, Sr., 83, of Phillipsburg, NJ, died peacefully December 3, 2023.
Born February 17, 1940 in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late Nelson C. and Helen (Karo) Deemer, Sr.
Clark was a construction worker for the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Local 569, of which he was a member for over 48 years.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a member of the Y.M.I.A in Phillipsburg and Concordia Maennerchor in Easton, PA.
Clark enjoyed watching the classic and old spaghetti westerns. His favorites were anything starring John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Those who knew him also know he loved to dress in western wear, from the boots to the hats, he loved it all. Clark was also a lifelong Jets football fan. He will always be remembered through special memories and moments shared by family, friends and loved ones.
He was predeceased by his one true love, his wife of almost 30 years, Joann C. (Peters) Deemer on July 9, 1996.
Clark is survived by a son, Clark, Jr. and his wife Susan (Sutphen) of Redwood City, CA; two daughters, Jamie and her husband Claude Hay of Bethlehem, PA and Stephanie and her husband Douglas Riddell of Raritan, NJ; two brothers, Joseph of Clearwater, FL and Thomas of New Smyrna, FL; two sisters, Barbara Luke of Phillipsburg and Mary Ann Dagon of New Smyrna, FL and four grandchildren, Jordan Deemer, Evan, Joanna and Landan Riddell. A brother, Nelson C. Deemer Jr. died in May of this year.
Funeral services were private for the family. He was laid to rest at the Asbury United Methodist Cemetery, Asbury, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Firth Youth Center, 108 Fleming Drive, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865 in memory of Clark W. Deemer, Sr.
