Dorothy Marie McIntyre, 86, of Phillipsburg, N.J. died December 6, 2020 in her home, surrounded by her family.
Born July 8, 1934 in Mantua, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Chester and Blanche (Harlan) Green.
Dorothy worked many years at the former New York Italian Bakery, Phillipsburg.
She attended the Blessed Hope Church of the Nazarene, Phillipsburg. She also enjoyed the time she spent at the Phillipsburg Senior Center.
Her husband, the late Harry McIntrye died August 23, 1991.
Survivors include daughters, Deborah Thanhauser, with whom she resided, Ellen Browning of Quitman, GA, Edna LaFleur, and Cathy Vazquez, both of Phillipsburg; two sons, Richard of Maryland and James of Phillipsburg. Whenever Dorothy was asked how many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she had, her response was always, " I don't know, a lot." She loved them all. She did have a special place in her heart for her nephew, Kenneth Green.
Dorothy's two brothers, Raymond and Horace and two sisters, Esther and Margaret all died earlier.
Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m., Wednesday in the Blessed Hope Church of the Nazarene, 42 Mercer St, Phillipsburg. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township, Pa. Masks must be worn at all times.
