Earl Buss Obituary

Earl W. Buss, 70, of Pen Argyl, PA, died peacefully August 11, 2024.

Born September 3, 1953, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Melba Lillian (Kuper) Buss.

Earl was known for having a heart of gold and being a proud Veteran. He was known for driving around town picking up scrap metal with his pickup truck and wearing a veteran T-shirt or ball cap. He loved a good meal and spending time with his family. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1971 and loved letting loose with his wife Sherrie at the class reunions. He was a true gentleman and would give you the shirt off of his back. His soft spot was for his pups. He worked at Georgia Pacific Dixie Cup as a mechanic for 40 years after he served in Vietnam up until he retired. In his prime, he loved playing baseball, umpiring and hunting in his spare time. He loved working in his workshop stripping wire and listening to the oldies.

Earl and his wife, the former Sherrie Lee Reuss, were married July 15, 1983.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Ryan and his wife Emily and their son, Jacob; a daughter, Heidie Buss and her husband Adam Spieles; a brother Paul and his wife Pat of Nazareth, as well as AJ, the family Morkie. A brother Roy died earlier.
