Edward Hockman Obituary
Edward Thomas Hockman 76, Phillipsburg, NJ died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his home.
Born November 5, 1944 in Easton, Pa, he was a son of late Elvin A. and Anna C. (Hagley) Hockman.
He was a self-employed independent maintenance contractor who worked tirelessly on housing projects for the less fortunate for over 30 years in the Washington Metropolitan DC area.
He was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan along with the New York Rangers and loved attending games at Veteran Stadium. Additionally, he spent his summers in Ocean City and Sharptown, Maryland where he enjoyed boating and hanging on the beach with family and friends.
He found joy in sharing beach time with Brittany Ann Hockman, daughter of his nephew Jeff and Tracy Hockman. Brittany simply adored the time she spent with her extended “Uncle Ed”. Jeff considered Edward to be like a second father to him.
He is survived by two sons Brian A. and Travis Hockman; three grandchildren, Brianna, Morgan and Tyler; two brothers Ronald "Jim" and Donald "Ducky"; a sister Joyce Anderson along with several nieces and nephews who enjoyed his company and generosity; his former wife of 30 years, Peggy L (Parry) Hockman and his partner Robin Wagner of 24 years and her son Troy. A son Thomas E.; brothers Elvin Jr, Palmer, Simon and George and sisters Carrie Smith, Dorothy "Dot" Csordas, Elizabeth "Betty" King and Pauline Kester all died earlier.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2021 at Walter's Park, Phillipsburg.
