Edward Blaze Sawicz, Jr., 29, of Kunkletown, Pa, died Monday, May 26, 2014 in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, PA.
Born March 16, 1985 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of Edward Blaze Sawicz, Sr, of Staten Island, NY and Yvonne L. Almojera Cassara and her husband, Joseph, of Phillipsburg, NJ.
He was former Chrysler automobile mechanic in Stroudsburg. He currently worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Bethlehem, Pa and Pino’s Union Station Pizzeria and Restaurant, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Edward and his wife, the former Kimberly L. Russell, celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary last July.
In addition to his parents and wife, Edward is survived by two brothers, Joseph and Richard Cassara and a sister, Amanda, all of Phillipsburg; an uncle, Anthony Almojera of Brooklyn, NY and a cousin, Anthony R. Almojera of Staten Island, NY; three step-daughters, Courtney, Brittany and Dana Russell.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St, Phillipsburg. A service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
