Elizabeth G. "Betsy" (Casey) Dicker-Romagnoli, 76, of Easton, PA, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away January 15, 2018.
Born April 16, 1941 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Betsy was the daughter of the late Edward C. Casey, Jr. and Grace (Wolfe) Casey, and the step-daughter of Rose (Doran) Casey. From age two, she was raised by her paternal grandmother, Veronica Presentation (McNulty) Casey.
Over the years, Betsy worked as a secretary for H.N. Crowder Jr. Co., Bethlehem, PA; was a school crossing guard in Phillipsburg; a secretary for Alpha Lehigh Tool & Machine Co, Alpha, NJ; worked at the former Reynold's Pharmacy, Phillipsburg; worked part-time at the Bon-Ton at the Phillipsburg Mall and retired from the medical office of Dr. Bera in Phillipsburg.
She also volunteered for the former Brensinger and Green Street schools in Phillipsburg, Friends of the Phillipsburg Free Public Library, Warren County Election Board, the State Theatre, Easton and the Two Rivers Landing/Crayola Factory, Easton, where she once performed as “TIP” the Crayon, and Celtic Fest, Bethlehem, PA. She was a Past President of AARP, Phillipsburg Chapter. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the America's, Court Warren, Phillipsburg.
She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, and graduated with honors from the parish high school in 1958. She also completed courses at Warren County Community College.
She loved to read, watch soap operas and spend time with her family and she had made many trips to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes in France. Anyone who knew Betsy could always count on receiving a vial of Lourdes water from her to give them strength and hope.
Her first husband of thirty-one years, Robert R. Dicker (aka - Harry J. Hockendocker, Jr.) died March 6, 1994. Her second husband of four years, Amedio A. Romagnoli, died January 26, 2013.
Betsy is survived by two daughters, Valerie Elizabeth Worihaye and her husband, Gary of Elizabeth, CO and Eileen Casey Dicker of Nazareth, PA; a son, Edward (Edd) Dicker and his wife, Kristin A. Levitskie of Allamuchy Twp, NJ; a half-sister, Jodie Mack and her husband, James of Palmer Township, PA; two grandchildren, Casey Schneider of Elizabeth, CO and Andrew Lempka, of Havre de Grace, MD; a great-grandson, Bode Higgins, and many loving and caring relatives of the Casey, Dicker and Romagnoli families who offered love and support during her final years. A great-granddaughter, Benni Schneider died June 30, 2017.
Visitations will be held Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St, Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., in St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, 426 S. Main St, Phillipsburg. Following the Mass, burial will be in the Durham Cemetery, Durham Township, Pa.
