Ernest W Russo

Ernest W. "Babe" Russo, 73, of Lopatcong Twp., died Tuesday, June 23, 1998 in Easton Hospital.

A graduate of Lafayette College and Rutgers Law School, he began his private law practice in Phillipsburg in 1951. He later welcomed his son, Richard and daughter Nancy to the practice which is now Russo, Russo and Russo. He also served as attorney for Lopatcong Twp. for many years.

Born July 9, 1924 in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elvira Navarro Russo.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

He and his wife, the former Pietrina "Beatice" Camarda observed their forty-forth wedding anniversary November 1, 1997.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Richard; two daughters, Nancy Russo and Geraldine R. Light; a brother, John and two grandchildren. A brother William died earlier.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Entombment will take place in Holy Apostle's Mausoleum, Greenwich Twp., NJ. There will be no calling hours. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the funeral arrangements.

The family requests no flowers, instead, memorial contribution may be sent, in his memory, to the Easton Hospital Dialysis Unit, in care of Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
