Ethel M (Day) Hockenberry

Ethel Marjorie Hockenberry, 95, of Lopatcong Township, formerly of Phillipsburg died Saturday, July 23, 2011 in the Brakeley Park Center.

Born June 24, 1916 in Hamburg, NJ, Ethel was a daughter of the late Silas and Ida Kinney Day.

Ethel retired as a manager from the Selected Risk Insurance Group in Branchville, NJ in 1967.

She was a member of the Holland Presbyterian Church, Holland Township, NJ. She loved gardening and music.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Donelon and her husband, Richard, of Holland Township, NJ and Loraine McLachlan and her husband James of Hamilton, Ontario, Cananda; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild. A son, Gerald Edwin Landes, and two husbands, Merell Walter Landes and John Arthur Hockenberry all died earlier.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the church, 450 Church Road, Holland Township. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Stillwater Cemetery, Stillwater (Sussex County), NJ.
