Florence E (O'Brien) Buenzly

Florence Ethel Buenzly, 99, formerly of Phillipsburg, N.J. passed away May 07, 2020 from complications from COVID-19 in ManorCare, Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, Pa. where she resided since Oct. 2018.

Born February 26, 1921 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Ethel (Kaffitz) O' Brien.

Florence was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church, Roseberry St., Phillipsburg,N.J.

Her husband, the late Albert V. Buenzly died May 28, 1996.

Survivors: son Robert and his wife Janie of Allentown, Pa.; a niece Rhonda DiMatteo of Easton, Pa. and a nephew, The Rev. Jack DiMatteo of Rockaway, N.J. and Florence's daughter-in-law's sister that she's been very close with for more than 50 years, Mary Ann Kootsares and her husband Charles of Palmer Township and Florence’s special little friend, Earl.
 

She was preceded in death by her sister Betty Dimatteo and four brothers, Robert, Donald, Russell and Elwood "Bud" O'Brien, and her grandson, Shaun Buenzly.

Florence’s son Robert and his wife Janie wish to thank the employees of ManorCare Nursing Home, for the care they gave Florence.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, services will be private.
