Gregory L. Sportelli, 63, died November 25, 2024 in Parryville, PA.
Born February 11, 1961 in Bridgeport, CT, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Patricia M. (Bertha) Sportelli.
Greg owned his own business and specialized in construction, specifically concrete contracting.
He was a 7th degree black belt in Shōrin-ryū and also Chinese Kempo and was considered a Kyoshi or "One who Teaches". Greg also owned and operated his own Karate Studio in Washington, NJ for many years which was a very important aspect of his life and something he was very proud to have accomplished. He was an avid animal lover, and had exceptional knowledge and experience in training dogs. He had many exotic dogs throughout his life and loved them all dearly. He especially loved his Cane Corso, Gustavo.
Survivors include his two sons, Chezada Sportelli and Joshua Sportelli and four siblings Steven, Scott, Sal and Cindy and a granddaughter, Gia. He is also survived by his wife Marie, and a step-son, Michael.
Funeral arrangement were private for the family.
