Hugh Robert "Bob" Walls, Sr, 75 of Titusville, Florida, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, died July 20, 2025 in Florida.
Born October 13, 1949 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Bob was a son of the late Hugh Roger Walls and Laura (Sutton) Walls.
Bob served in the Navy as a Navy Damage Controlman (FN) aboard the USS John F. Kennedy during the Vietnam War.
He was a machine operator in the beater room at the Riegel Paper Mill in Milford, NJ for many years.
He was a member of the American Legion, Post 359, St. John, FL and former member of the American Legion Post 0131 in Belvidere, NJ; former president of the Steele Hill Boys Club and was former vice president and longtime member of the Bushkill Valley Quoit League where he played quoits for many years.
Bob was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and Penn State Nittany Lions and if you were walking by the house or anywhere near where he was watching a game, you could hear him yelling at the screen as if he were at the game! Just remember, even when the game was boring, his eyes were closed, and he was snoring, don't change the channel... "I was watching that!"
He was also a loyal friend to many and would be the first person to come and help if called. Working on cars, fixing things around your home, or whatever you needed, he would be there. Though maybe not the best "electrician," he would give it all he had.
Bob is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Eugena "Gena" (Ackerman) Walls; a son, Hugh R. "Bobby" Walls, Jr; a daughter, Carrie Ackerman; and sister Janice Pyatt (Walls). He was preceded in death by his siblings: Veronica "Bonnie" Kehler (Walls), Sharon Fogelman (Walls), and Richard "Dick" Walls.
