Irene Mae Daniels

Irene Mae Daniels, 92, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, formerly of Alpha, NJ, died February 11, 2026 while surrounded by family. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, long phone calls, love of baking and hospitality. 

Born May 15, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Guy E. and Mary (Yakimo) Zerbe.

Her loving husband Thomas Ellis Daniels, Sr. passed away in 2020. 

Irene is survived by three daughters and a son, Thomas Daniels II of Cumming, GA, Terry Bryant and her husband Ronald of Edenton, NC, Sherry Mickelson of Burlington, NC and Tammy Wood and her husband Daniel of Alpha, NJ; a sister Shirley Rager and her husband Richard of Pine Grove, PA; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a brother, Guy Eugene Zerbe and two grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. 

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
