Isaiah Henry Massey

Isaiah Henry Massey, 82, of Alpha, NJ, departed this life on February 4, 2020 in Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ.

Isaiah was born on April 29, 1937 in Chatham County, North Carolina to Fred and Roberta (Council) Massey. He was the second youngest of 19 children.

Isaiah retired after 27 years of dedicated service to the City of Newark, NJ.

He is survived by two daughters, Lolitha Dennis and her husband Offie of Alpha, NJ; Roxie Moore of Durham, NC; nine grandchildren, Aisha, Andre, Kiana, Shaketa, Darryl, De-Idra, Darius, Elisia, and Alethia; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Preceeded in death by Catherine Massey-Jackson; 18 siblings; a son, Daryl Massey; a grandson, Offie R. Dennis and a son in-law, Ellis Moore.

A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020, in the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 137 Chambers Street, Phillipsburg, New Jersey. A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m.
