Jacqueline A. Stefano, 79, of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 in her home.
Born May 4, 1934 in Alpha, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Ada Deemer Beaver.
She and her husband, the late Salvatore “Toot” Stefano, owned and operated the former Roma Bar and Grill and later, The Pub, both of South Main Street, Phillipsburg. She later bartended at Mac’s Pub, Phillipsburg.
She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. She attended Phillipsburg High School where she was head majorette.
Survivors include three daughters, Candice Barsony and her husband, Wayne, of Pohatcong Township; Stephanie McCarty and her husband, Mike, of Alpha and Michele Pierzga and her husband, Ed, of Apex, NC; a brother, Stephen and his wife, Sue, of Easton, Pa.; six grandchildren, Nicole Evans and her husband, Mike, Ryan Barsony and his wife, Brynn, Jennah McCarty, Ashlee McCarty and her fiancé Brandon Stires, Natalie and Alec Pierzga; three great-grandchildren, Taylor and Michaela Evans and Madeline Barsony. A brother, Raymond died earlier.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg, NJ. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Philip and St. James Cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.
