Jens Dennis Obituary
Jens Dennis, 74, of Union Township, NJ, died February 28, 2017.
Born April 11, 1942 in Somerville, NJ, he was a son of the late Harry and Elsie C. (Duyssen) Dennis.
Jens was a lineman for Jersey Central Power and Light Company until his retirement in 2006.
He was an Army veteran.
He was a life member and former treasurer of the Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company, Pattenburg, NJ. He was also a long-time member of the NRA.
Jens and his wife, the former Carolyn White, observed their fifty-first wedding anniversary September 12, 2016.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Tracy Hendershot and her husband, Steven; a brother, Konrad and his wife Cathy of Easton, PA; a sister, Eleanore Gianquitti of Basking Ridge, NJ; two granddaughters, Alisha and Brianna Dennis and a grandson, Jacob Hendershot. A son, Dwayne J. Dennis, four brothers, Robert, Peter, George and Walter and a sister, Harriett Smith all died earlier.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg, NJ. Services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be private in the Bloomsbury Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
