Joan M. Frinzi, 87, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, died December 25, 2015.
Born December 18, 1928 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late John B. and Hazel L. (Raub) Smith.
After the love she had for her family, Joan's interests were the NY Yankees, reading, crossword puzzles, swimming and playing the piano.
Her husband of 44 years, Dominic M. "Mickey" Frinzi died in 1996.
Survivors include five daughters, Jennifer C. DiBiase and her husband, Richard, Rebecca A. Leh, Nina L. Frinzi and Martha J. Penrose and her husband, John, and Rachel M. Kent and her husband Craig, all of Phillipsburg; a sister, Jean L. Walsh of Chesapeake, Virginia, 6 grandchildren Ben, Sarah, Daniel, Emily, Alyssa and Lindsay and a great-grandson, Cooper and several nieces and nephews. A brother, John T. Smith and a grandson, Matthew J.D. Penrose both died earlier.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St, Phillipsburg, NJ. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Phillip and St. James Cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ.
